The primary challenges were the risks of water hammer and thermal expansion in the high-pressure steam pipelines connected to the facility.
TDM implemented a calibrated Expansion Loop design and installed Steam Traps at crucial points. All piping weld joints underwent 100% NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) to ensure the operational safety of the thermal system with zero risk of leaks.

Accommodating a massive storage volume, the main challenge of this project was to design an efficient loading and unloading manifold line free from pump cavitation risks.

As a fuel oil storage facility, this operational area falls under a high-level Hazardous Area classification with a significant risk of sparks.
TDM implemented Explosion Proof (Ex-d) electrical panel installations, strictly protected cable routing, and an integrated Grounding & Lightning Protection system. We also integrated Level Transmitters for precise and safe fluid volume monitoring.
